Child Therapist

 

Brennan Behavior Group, is looking for a licensed therapist to work with children and their families. Hours are flexible.

Qualified candidates will be able to work independently with a wide range of populations and difficulties, providing individual and family therapy on an outpatient basis. They should also have a demonstrated track record of completing documentation and other practical necessities of therapy in a timely manner.

BCBA - Licensed Behavior Analyst

Openings for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (part-time and full-time positions available). Applicants must have an active certification.

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position involves providing and supervising Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in clinic-based and school-based settings. The BCBA will create and implement treatment plans, conduct regular parent trainings and collaborate with team members to ensure the quality of treatment. 

Responsibilities

  • Completion of assessments, development of short and long-term goals and treatment planning.

  • Collaborate with treatment team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate client information.

  • Work with clients, families, caregivers, direct support staff, and the community to implement treatment plans.

  • Provide parent training, resources and guidance to ensure the quality of care.

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of the direct care staff to ensure proper implementation of treatment plan; provide training and guidance as needed.

  • Review clinical documentation and data collection; provide feedback as needed.

  • Complete necessary documenting (i.e. supervision notes, program updates, etc.)

  • Collect data for goals in a treatment plan to determine effectiveness of interventions

  • Initiate contact with new referrals and/or referral sources in a timely manner

 

Required Experience

  • Experience in applied settings developing and implementing behavioral interventions and teaching programs

  • Licensed Behavior Analyst in State of Louisiana

  • BCBA

 ABA Behavior Technician

As an ABA Line Technician, you’ll have an opportunity to gain valuable experience providing ABA services. Our therapists receive intensive training and are taught to be scientists, decision-makers, and leaders. Although this is an entry level position there is room for advancement at Brennan Behavior Group. The job is fun, flexible, and offers a rewarding experience for both the therapist and the child!

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree; degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field is preferred.

  • Previous experience with autism/ABA is helpful but not necessary, extensive training is provided to all employees upon hiring and throughout employment.

  • Strong verbal communication skills (speaking & listening)

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • No past criminal history

  • Reliable transportation & proof of auto insurance

  • A genuine passion for working with children with special needs
